Carmen Adams, founder of LilyRose Cupcakes & Confections, discovered her passion for baking at an early age. She grew up in a close knit family where the kitchen was often the center of family gatherings. By watching her mother and grandmothers prepare delicious pound cakes, layer cakes, peach cobblers, cheese cakes, cookies, and candies, Carmen learned to bake. In fact, the name “LilyRose” pays homage to Carmen’s late grandmother, Rose Ulilia Fuller.
Long before the dream of opening her bakery became a reality, those nearest and dearest to Carmen appreciated her natural gift for creating delectable desserts. In fact, friends have been known to show up at Carmen’s front door with fork in hand, hoping to sample one of her irresistible treats.
Carmen, a licensed patent attorney, stepped out on faith and left a lucrative corporate legal career to follow her dream. With unwavering hope in God, an optimistic outlook on life, and help and encouragement from family and friends, Carmen and her team are now “ADDING A LITTLE JOY TO YOUR DAY!”
LOVE is the main ingredient baked into each and every LilyRose cupcake and sweet treat! We do it by using the finest ingredients, including Callebaut chocolate, sweet cream butter, fresh fruit and herbs, and unique spices. At LilyRose we like to have fun, so we regularly create unique flavor combinations to offer you the most delicious cupcakes around. You’ll find traditional favorites and unique gourmet cupcakes on our daily menu.
Participation in several major events in 2013 garnered LilyRose recognition for excellence. Our mouth-watering treats were featured at the Ambassador’s Inaugural Ball, in Washington, D.C., honoring the inauguration of President Barack Obama; and a panel of judges at the Zonta Club’s Swinging Sweets Chocolate Festival in Annapolis, Maryland, unanimously selected LilyRose’s delectable gourmet cake truffles as the Best Chocolate Dessert.
LilyRose also appeared on the match.com episode of The Food Network show Cupcake Wars in 2013.
